Hello, I'm Tiff Howick, I'm an illustrator and printmaker based in East London. I love drawing, especially animals, it's a bit of an obsession.
By combining influences from my Norwegian heritage and memories of childhood picture books I've developed a style that takes inspiration from fashion illustration and picks up on our tendency to see human emotions in animals.
I've been a member of a screenprinting studio, Print Club London, since 2012. It’s a wonderful place, where I get to work alongside lots of talented and inspiring people. I really enjoy the process of screenprinting, creating handmade copies of my illustrations so that each one, with its subtle differences, is effectively an original piece of affordable art.
I'm known for being really fussy about my work, checking every screenprint, tea towel and greeting card to make sure it's the same high quality that I would expect in anything that I buy. I also need to know that I’m not harming the environment or other people, I use sustainably sourced paper, water-based inks and ethically sourced cotton.
When people buy my work I want them to feel confident that it will continue to look beautiful for many years to come, I use acid free paper which won't yellow with age and fade-resistant inks.
As a small independent business I like to work with other independent businesses. I buy materials from UK based suppliers so buying from me means supporting them too.
I am really grateful to the loyal customers I have both here in London and further afield (hello Tasmania!) and for the wonderful things people have said about what I do, especially when I hear that my work makes people smile.
If you’d like to buy something, I offer worldwide shipping and if you’re in the UK postage is free. If you happen to change your mind, I have a really simple returns policy.
Thank you very much for visiting my website. If you'd like to know more or have any questions I'd love to hear from you, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
